Employee Training Needs Assessment Checklist ( HR )

This checklist is designed to assess the training needs of employees in order to identify gaps in skills and knowledge that can be addressed through targeted training programs.

• Identify Employee Roles

  List all employee roles within the organization to ensure all departments are covered.

• Conduct Skill Gap Analysis

  Evaluate the current skills of employees against the required skills for each role to identify any gaps.

• Gather Employee Feedback

  Collect feedback from employees regarding their perceived training needs and areas where they feel improvement is necessary.

• Consult with Managers

  Discuss with department managers to gain insights into team performance and any specific training requirements they observe.

• Prioritize Training Needs

  Rank the identified training needs based on urgency and importance to the overall business goals.

• Develop Training Plan

  Create a training plan that outlines the training programs needed to address the identified gaps, including methods of delivery.

• Communicate Training Needs

  Share the training needs assessment and plan with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for upcoming training initiatives.

• Monitor and Review

  Establish a process for regular monitoring and review of training effectiveness and adjust the training needs assessment accordingly.
