Mobile Device Management Checklist ( IT )

This checklist is designed to ensure that all mobile devices used within the organization are managed, secured, and configured according to company policies. It helps in maintaining compliance and enhancing security for mobile access to corporate resources.

• Inventory Mobile Devices

  Create a list of all mobile devices that will be managed under the Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.

• Enroll Devices in MDM

  Ensure that all devices are enrolled in the Mobile Device Management system for tracking and management.

• Configure Security Settings

  Apply company security policies such as password requirements, encryption, and remote wipe capabilities on all enrolled devices.

• Install Required Applications

  Deploy necessary applications that employees need for their roles, ensuring they are updated and secure.

• Set Up Device Compliance Policies

  Define compliance policies that devices must adhere to, including OS updates, app updates, and security patches.

• Conduct User Training

  Provide training to employees on proper usage, security practices, and how to report issues regarding their mobile devices.

• Regularly Review Device Compliance

  Schedule periodic reviews to ensure all devices remain compliant with organizational policies and standards.

• Update Inventory and Audit Logs

  Keep the inventory and audit logs updated with any new devices added or old devices removed from the MDM system.
